The group that I have been riding with has a list of all the contact information for all the people that regularly ride. It has the riders contact information as well as their emergency contact information. Each rider keeps a copy of the list with them on the bike just in case there is a emergency, if you need to contact them, their spouse, or their emergency contact, you have it on the ride. Another suggestion, from a EMT friend, when they arrive on an accident seen they look in the persons phone directory for ICE, In Case of Emergency and call that number.

This is indeed a very good idea. Although Im not sure if people will want to post their info on the forum since it is visible to the public. I will look to see if we can create a thread that is members only. That way it could be accessible to anyone in the group at anytime. Also might be a good idea to put a list together at the beginning of each ride. Maybe we could pass around a role sheet. Ideas anyone?

We did it in person not online. The group leader would ask you to fill out the contact sheet with your info, your 1st in case of emergency contact and a 2nd ICE just in case. We never had to use it for an emergency but it is a great couple of sheets of paper to have when you really, really do need that information. The sheets got used much more as a contact sheet between the riders.

I suggested online because just about everyone has access to it at any time. We have a lot of impromptu rides that spur up during the week between a 3-4 riders which is exactly how we hoped the group to be. Also with group rides sometimes people have to go back early and split off. This will only work if everyone in the group has access to it at all times. Biggest challenge would be if we were in an area without cell phone reception.
